Full field length, goal-line distance, and end zones
The NFL field is often described as 100 yards long because that is the distance from one goal line to the other. The complete marked surface is 120 yards long from end line to end line: 100 yards between the goal lines plus a 10-yard end zone at each end.

So “100-yard field” and “120-yard field” describe different endpoints. For the total field dimensions, count the end zones.
Football field width, area, and acres
The NFL field is 160 feet wide, or 53⅓ yards. Multiply that by the full 360-foot length:
360 ft × 160 ft = 57,600 square feet
That is 6,400 square yards or about 1.32 acres for the full marked surface. The two end zones together account for 9,600 square feet. Without them, the 300-by-160-foot area between the goal lines is 48,000 square feet, or about 1.10 acres.
Metric area conversions are calculated from the stated dimensions. The surrounding sideline space and stadium facilities are not included.
